I have forgotten my password, what should I do?

There are two ways to reset your Mater Lotteries password:

1. Email
You can request a password reset link to be sent to your email address.

Step 1: Click here and fill in your relevant information. You will then receive an email from us with a link to reset your password.
Step 2: In the email that you receive, select “Choose a New Password” and you will be taken to the password reset page.
Step 3: Enter your new password in twice and then 'Change Password'

Draw Information

How many Mater lotteries are conducted each year?

Both our Mater Prize Home and Mater Cars for Cancer lotteries are drawn six times per year. Please click here to purchase tickets.
We also run Mater Cash for Kids six times per year, please phone 1800 067 066 to purchase tickets for this lottery.

How do you notify lottery winners and where do you display the results?

The lucky first prize winner will receive an exciting phone call shortly after the draw and then a confirmation letter by registered post within 2-3 days.
We display the winning ticket number on this website and also publish the details in the public notice section of The Australian newspaper.
Minor and weekly VIP Club membership winners are notified by phone and instructions are mailed to them on how to claim their prizes.

How is the draw conducted?

We enter the ticket range into the Multi-function Random Number Generator and the lucky winning ticket is drawn.
As per licensing requirements, our major draws take place in the presence of an external auditor.
The public are most welcome to attend these draws which take place at our offices located in Woolloongabba, Brisbane.

What are my odds of winning a prize?

This depends on the number of tickets you have in the lottery. The more you have the better your odds. The value of your ticket purchase determines the number of chances you have in the draw. The maximum amount of tickets able to be sold in each lottery can be found in our lottery terms and conditions.

It seems Queenslanders are always the lucky winners!

We are based in Queensland and Queenslanders do like to buy our tickets, but don’t worry every ticket has an equal chance of winning and we have plenty of lottery winners from other locations.

Ticket Information

Can I choose my own ticket numbers?

We need to automatically allocate our tickets to ensure that we abide by legislative requirements.

Why are my ticket numbers higher than the maximum allowed to be sold?

The ticket numbers in our lotteries do not run consecutively, so some tickets are higher than the number we are permitted to sell. We never sell more than the maximum allowed and every ticket is included the draw. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our friendly support team.

Where is the ticket I purchased through your website?

Once you complete your purchase, we will email your electronic ticket (e-ticket). If you don’t receive your ticket within 10 minutes, just give us a call on 1800 067 066 and we can resend it to you.

Are my lottery tickets tax deductible?

No, lottery tickets are not able to be claimed as a tax deduction.

I don’t live in Queensland; can I still buy a ticket?

Yes absolutely, if you are over the age of 18 it doesn’t matter where you live you can purchase tickets in our lotteries.

I am residing overseas but would like to buy a ticket, can I do this?

Yes absolutely, if you are over the age of 18 it doesn’t matter where you live you can purchase tickets in our lotteries.
To be fully prepared in the case that you become one of our future lucky winners, we do advise that you investigate your own country’s legislation in relation to foreign ownership and also understand the implications within Australia.

How do I become eligible to win the Mater Prize Home book buyer’s prize?

Just purchase $10 worth of tickets or more in the same draw and the value of the prize is determined by the amount of tickets you have purchased in that Mater Prize Home lottery.
If you are one of our Mater Prize Home VIP Club members, any additional purchases you choose to make are added to your VIP purchases to determine your total spend and therefore the value of your prize.

Prize Information

If I am lucky enough to win a major prize, what costs do you cover?

As well as being the lucky winner of the Mater Prize home, you will also have all legal fees and transfer costs taken care of. Once handover takes place, we will also cover insurance and electricity costs for the next fourteen days. As an added bonus, winners also receive gold bullion and this can assist in covering the first year’s rates and body corporate costs.
If you are lucky enough to win first prize in our Mater Cars for Cancer lottery, then all on-road costs and Compulsory Third Party insurance is taken care of. We do require the prize cars to be picked up from Brisbane, but of course winners can choose to have the prize delivered to a different location at their own expense.

VIP Club

How does the VIP Club work?

Our Mater Prize Home and Mater Cars for Cancer lotteries runs over two months and our VIP Club members are charged monthly.
We have different levels of membership and the amount of tickets our members receive, are determined by which membership level they choose.
Please see below example for further clarification:
Each month a $30.00 Mater Prize Home VIP would receive 25 tickets, so on draw day they would have 50 tickets entered into the draw. However, if they join the Mater Prize Home VIP Club during the 2nd month they receive 25 tickets and are only charged for that month.
Being a member of our VIP club also entitles you to enter some awesome additional draws and these differ depending on whether you are a Mater Prize Home or Cars for Cancer VIP Club member, so if you would like to know more about those draws, please give us a call on 1800 067 066.

When should I receive my VIP tickets?

We send your VIP lottery tickets to you once a successful transaction has been completed and we receive your payment. You should receive an email containing your electronic (e-ticket) within 2-3 business days and we advise to allow up to 10 business days for tickets that are posted out to you.
Our Mater Prize Home VIP tickets are processed on the first business day of each month and our Cars for Cancer VIP tickets on the 15th of every month or the next business day.

When are the weekly VIP draws drawn?

We conduct our weekly draws on a Friday. If you would like to find out the dates of these draws, please refer to our terms and conditions of the lottery.

Do I still need to create an account if I am a VIP Club member?

Yes, as a VIP you need to create an account on this website in order for you to be able to purchase any additional tickets online.

What payment methods do you accept?

If you are purchasing single tickets online we accept PayPal and most major credit cards.
If you are one of our VIP Club members, stay tuned we will be offering PayPal to you soon.
