MATER DOLLAR DREAM TICKET LOTTERY NO. 1

1    AUTHORISATION AND LOTTERY DETAILS

1.1    Mater Dollar Dream Ticket Lottery No. 1 is authorised under the following licence and/or permit numbers: QLD: Licence No. 29792; NSW: Permit No. GOCAU/2327; VIC: Permit No. MG-R26348077; ACT: Permit No. R26/00167; SA: Permit No. M15086; NT: Permit No. FNL1029.

1.2    Mater Foundation Ltd as trustee for Mater Foundation is permitted to issue up to 1,000,000 tickets in this lottery, comprising up to 500,000 paid tickets and up to 500,000 bonus tickets, being the total number of entries in the draw.

1.3    The lottery will open for ticket sales at 12:01am AEST on 21 September 2026 and will close at 7:55pm AEST on 12 December 2026, unless sold out earlier. The main prize draw will be conducted at 10:00am AEST on 16 December 2026 at Mater Foundation, 14 Stratton Street, Newstead QLD 4006, or remotely subject to business requirements at the time of the draw.

1.4    The winner will be notified by telephone and registered mail using the contact details provided at the time of entry. The winning ticket number and result will be published on www.materlotteries.com.au on the day of the draw and in the public notices section of The Australian on 21 December 2026.

1.5    Tickets are sold for $1.00 per ticket. Tickets may be sold individually or as part of a bundle ("Book") and may include bonus tickets as described in these Terms.

1.6    The benefitting organisation and promoter is Mater Foundation Ltd as trustee for Mater Foundation (ABN 96 723 184 640) of 14 Stratton Street, Newstead QLD 4006 (Promoter).

2    PRIZE

2.1    One (1) valid entry drawn will win one (1) main prize, being the winner's choice of either:

(a)    Round the World Travel Prize, comprising an $80,000 travel voucher and $20,000 in gold bullion, with a combined total value of $100,000; or

(b)    Gold Prize - $100,000 gold bullion.

2.2    The total prize value is $100,000. The winner may elect only one prize option and not both. 

2.3    The Round the World Travel Prize is based on a family of four, comprising two adults and two children aged 11 years or under, and includes:

• Round the world airfares with Star Alliance in economy class.
• All airport taxes.
• Return private airport transfers in Tokyo, New York and Honolulu.
• Arrival private airport transfer in Paris.
• Departure private airport transfer in London.
• Four nights at Asakusa View Hotel Annex Rokku, Tokyo.
• Accommodation in two connecting rooms, including breakfast.
• Best of Tokyo full-day guided tour with a local guide.
• Four nights at Hotel Alfred Sommier, Paris.
• Accommodation in two deluxe connecting rooms, including breakfast.
• Ultimate Paris Food Tour for three hours, with more than 10 tastings.
• Eurostar from Paris to London in Business Premier class.
• Four nights at The July London Victoria.
• Accommodation in a two-bedroom apartment, including breakfast.
• Fast-track tickets on the London Eye.
• Four nights at The Jewel, New York.
• Accommodation in two deluxe rooms.
• Broadway musical tickets, with the show selected by the winner and subject to availability.
• Four nights at the Waikiki Beach Marriott.
• Accommodation in two Diamond Head ocean-view king rooms with balconies.
• Sunset sail including drinks, departing from Waikiki Beach

2.4    The following conditions apply to the travel component:

• Travel is subject to availability at the time of booking.
• Hotels may be substituted based on availability.
• The travel component is valid for travel in 2027.
• Peak-season school holiday dates are excluded. 

2.5    All prize values are based on the recommended retail price at the time of printing and are expressed in Australian dollars (inclusive of GST where applicable). Mater Foundation accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value due to market movements or availability.

3    TICKET PRICING, BOOKS AND BONUS TICKETS

3.1    Tickets in the lottery are sold at a fixed price of $1.00 per ticket

3.2    Tickets may be purchased individually or as part of a bundle ("Book") expressed by book value.

3.3     Where a Book is purchased, the purchaser will receive a number of paid tickets equivalent to the Book value, together with any bonus tickets allocated to that Book as set out in the bundle allocation table forming part of these Terms.

3.4     Bonus tickets are issued free of charge, are additional entries into the draw and do not constitute a discount or reduction in the ticket price.

3.5     Each ticket entry, including bonus tickets, constitutes a separate and equal chance to win and is treated identically in the draw.

3.6     The ticket structures and bonus allocations are set out below:

3.7     The total number of tickets available in the lottery includes both paid tickets and bonus tickets.

3.8     Mater Foundation reserves the right at its sole discretion to refuse to sell, limit or cancel ticket purchases without providing a reason, subject to applicable law. 

4    PRIZE CHOICES PROCESS

4.1    The winner of the lottery is entitled to select one (1) of the available prize options.

4.2    Mater Foundation will reasonably engage with the winner to facilitate their selection and the fulfillment of that prize.

4.3    The winner must confirm their prize selection in writing within a reasonable period specified by Mater Foundation. 

4.4    Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash except where required by law or regulator direction.

5    ROUND THE WORLD TRAVEL PRIZE OPTION: SPECIFIC TERMS

5.1 If the winner selects the Round the World Travel Prize: 

(a) The Round the World Travel Prize comprises an $80,000 travel voucher and $20,000 in gold bullion, with a combined total value of $100,000. 

(b) The travel voucher will be issued through Mater Foundation's selected travel supplier and must be booked directly by the winner with that supplier. 

(c) The Round the World Travel Prize is subject to availability and the standard terms and conditions of the nominated travel supplier and any third-party travel providers.

(d) Mater Foundation is not responsible for the performance or conduct of third-party suppliers and accepts no liability for loss, damage, delays or changes, except where liability cannot be excluded by law. 

(e) The winner must comply with the terms of the nominated supplier and is responsible for all additional costs exceeding the voucher value. 

(f) It is the winner's sole responsibility and cost to ensure compliance with passport, visa, health, vaccination and re-entry requirements. 

6    GOLD PRIZE OPTION: SPECIFIC TERMS 

6.1    Selling costs, market movements and supplier terms may apply. 

6.2    Mater Foundation will coordinate the supply of the gold bullion through its supplier.

6.3    Identification and verification requirements must be satisfied prior to release.  

6.4    Images are for illustration purposes only and do not depict the exact prize. 

7    ELIGIBILITY AND GENERAL ENTRY CONDITIONS

7.1    Entries are open to Australian and foreign residents who are 18 years of age or older, but exclude members of the Mater Foundation Board, Mater Foundation employees, all other parties and their employees or agents associated with data access in connection with the draw administration, and their immediate family members. Only natural persons are eligible to enter. 

7.2    All entries received, paid for and processed before the closing time are entered into this lottery and draw. Entries received after 7:55pm AEST on the closing date, or after the lottery has sold out, will not be entered into this draw and may be entered into the next available lottery where permitted and communicated to the entrant. Only Australian currency is accepted as payment for an entry.

7.3    As at the date of permit approval, lottery prizes are not taxable under prescribed lottery arrangements. 

7.4    Mater Foundation accepts no liability for any tax implications arising from winning a prize or purchasing tickets in a lottery. 

8    DRAW, VALIDATION AND UNCLAIMED PRIZES 

8.1    The draw will be conducted at Mater Foundation's premises or remotely. 

8.2    Winning ticket numbers and winners' details are validated against records held in our database and all draws are final. Where Mater Foundation is unable to verify or contact a winner or any prize remains unclaimed, the laws of the state governing the lottery will be followed in relation to a redraw if applicable or otherwise disposal of the prize. State legislation at time of permit approval is as follows: 

Queensland - For a Category 3 Art Union, the prize must be kept for one year from the day the prize winner is decided. If the prize is not claimed within one year, the incorporated eligible association may apply the prize or its sale proceeds to the association's purpose. 

New South Wales - If despite every reasonable effort organisers cannot contact a prize winner, the organisers must retain the prize for three months after the draw. However, if a prize is perishable (e.g. a tray of meat or other perishable food), the prize can be sold or otherwise disposed of in a way that will immediately bring a reasonable price. The money raised (after deducting the reasonable costs of sale or disposal) must be held in trust for the winner of the prize. 

At the end of three months if the prize remains unclaimed, organisers are required to submit a letter to the legislator setting out full details of steps taken to contact the winner and to deliver the prize and seeking permission to sell the prize. After receiving written approval, the prize must be sold, and the proceeds of sale deposited to the organisation that the art union was conducted for. 

Victoria - This regulation applies if a winner does not claim a prize in a raffle; and the person who conducted the raffle cannot, after reasonable efforts to do so, find a winner of the prize. The community or charitable organisation to benefit from the raffle to which this regulation applies: 

(a)    Must ensure that the prize is retained for 3 months after the draw; or 

(b)    If the prize is livestock or property of a perishable nature, may sell the prize in a way that brings a reasonable price and retain the proceeds (after deducting the reasonable costs of sale) for 12 months after the draw

If a prize or proceeds of the sale of a prize retained remains unclaimed after a period of 12 months after the draw of the raffle, the community or charitable organisation must: 

(a)    Sell or otherwise dispose of the prize if this has not already been done; and 

(b)    After deducting the reasonable costs of the sale or disposal, pay the proceeds to the Treasurer for payment into the Consolidated Fund.

ACT - All prizes in the lottery must be distributed or allocated as approved. If a prize is not claimed within a reasonable period, taking into account the nature of the prize, the person conducting the promotion must draw another winning ticket or entry. For Dollar Dream Lottery 1, should a redraw be necessary it will be conducted on 22 December 2027 at Mater Foundation, 14 Stratton Street, Newstead, Queensland 4006 at 10am AEST. 

•    Mater Foundation reserves the right to cancel any draw at any time for any reason and disqualify entries for non-compliance with these Terms.  
•    If for any reason any aspect of this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion and invalidate any affected entries, or suspend or modify a prize, subject to State or Territory regulation. 

8.3    Supporters who wish to attend the main draw are encouraged to register their interest via the Mater Lotteries website (www.materlotteries.com.au) at least 2 business days prior to the draw date.

9    LIABILITY, SUBSTITUTION AND IMAGES

9.1    Mater Foundation is not liable for loss or damage suffered in connection with the lottery or prize, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

9.2    Photographs, illustrations and props are for display purposes only. 

10    PRIVACY

10.1    Mater Foundation collects, uses and discloses personal information to conduct the lottery and in accordance with its charitable objectives.

10.2    Unless an entrant opts out, Mater Foundation may contact entrants with information about campaigns and supporter communications

10.3    The Privacy Policy is available at www.materfoundation.org.au/privacy and contains information about access, correction and complaints. 

11. GENERAL 

11.1    All amounts are expressed in Australian currency.  

11.2    No prize is transferable or redeemable for cash unless required by law. 

11.3    Mater Foundation reserves the right to vary these Terms subject to regulator approval.
