Christmas is a time to be thankful, and I would like to personally thank you for your generous support of Mater Prize Home lottery this year.
Thanks to your support we have been able to celebrate a number of amazing achievements this year at Mater, including performing the first in-utero surgery on a baby diagnosed with spina bifida in collaboration with Vanderbilt University Hospital, safely delivering over 10,000 babies at Mater Mothers’ hospital and of course ensuring seriously ill and premature babies like little Parker have access to the best possible care.
In other areas of Mater we held the world’s first simulation event at Mater Private Hospital Springfield prior to the hospital opening late last year, and earlier this year our doctors successfully performed Australia’s first surgery using the ROSA robot, providing new hope to those with epilepsy.
These are just some of our health, education and research efforts that were all made possible thanks to people like you. We look forward to unveiling some very exciting Mater Prize Homes in 2017, so be sure to keep an eye on your inbox.
From our Mater Foundation family to yours, we wish you a safe and happy Christmas.
Kind regards,
Nigel Harris
