For Maree*, winning Mater Prize Home lottery No. 269 meant winning a life-changing $1.8 million home in Sydney.

Mater Foundation’s Director of Lotteries, Sally Wilkins tried to make the winning call on Friday 24 February 2017, but was unable to reach Maree! However it wasn’t long before we were able to make contact and deliver the amazing news. “It’s always an exciting time when we call a winner and share the news that they have won a prize home. Most of the time they don’t believe it at first and it usually takes a while for the enormity of it to set in”, Sally said.

Maree, a mother from Western Australia, regularly visits Brisbane and enjoys travelling abroad. Thanks to her amazing windfall, she’ll be able to do more of what she loves!

The three bedroom, two bathroom, terrace-style town house, complete with an alfresco dining area and two car parks, was located in the highly sought after suburb of Glebe—a mere 2.5 km to Sydney’s CBD.

Once Maree took ownership of the property, she decided to sell the prize home valued at a whopping $1.8 million and it wasn’t long before someone snapped up the luxury inner-city apartment!
